#! Xfce desktop 4/26/12 ~8PM by ZachSnyder #! Xfce desktop 4/26/12 ~8PM by ZachSnyder
My Crunchbang linux desktop Running XFCE4 tired of open box needed a full WM and XFCE is the best out there.

I joined the ShimmerProject! [link] :hooray:
Their goal is to make open source beautiful and their themes are for xfce gtk2 and gtk3

This Snap features the Greybird theme in action

Special thanks to my friends in #shimmer and Ochosi!

Nice one! I really like the dark background combined with grey theme, icons and font.

Thanks! The theme is by the shimmer project who helps out with the xfce design SIG and designs the Xubuntu default themes :)

Nice. I have been thinking of switching to crunchbang, but not 100% sure about it yet. My main problem is future xfce updates like 4.8.10 not coming or being really slow to be added to repository.

Well #! runs openbox and is preconfigured with openbox by default im used to XFCEs workflow so i installed it. My #! is mainly for scots and stuff but i do all my dev and design work on my Fedora XFCE machine because im a part of their design team :) Crunchbang is a solid distro is just an openbox environment on debian, but its super light. You dont have to be a #! user to hangout with the #! community they like everyone lol!

I have Xubuntu on all of my machines currently, but I don't really like the slow time it takes for xfce related updates to hit Ubuntu repositories. Im not a fan of openbox, mainly because it lacks some functionality.

You could always build it yourself ;)

I used to do that with Arch, but there was always problems with their repositories and conflicting upgrades. Now I like a somewhat pre-built system, but make small modifications with the xfce panels and theme-ing of course.
